Car accident, 50/50 liable, can I get a rental from their insurance? |
Not sure what to do, my adjuster has not called me back and I need a car! They had a Hertz rental car. They were both towed. Not my lucky year.. The first thing you need to determine is whether the other driver obtained the optional insurance through Hertz or will (hopefully) be covered by his/her own insurance. Once that is known, you can then contact appropriate party. If you were both cited my guess is that you will have to rely on your insurance. My assumption is that you were attempting to contact your insurance agent rather than adjuster. If you are in a bind for a car, you're probably ahead to work directly with your insurance company and let them work it out with the other company. Your insurance verificaiton should list a toll free number to contact in case of emergency. Well.. you can expect 50% of the rental paid. Isnt that kinda self explanatory?
