Is it normal to have to pay 190.00 for dentist filling for child w/ aetna insurance? No, that is way too much. I payed $120. for a filling and that was with no insurance. I am not sure where you live and the location of the dental office where the child was treated, but that seems a bit "pricey" to me, unless the treatment was for a stainless steel crown. Most fillings, whether composite or amalgam, should not be that expensive for a child. Call your local dental society for a usual and customary fee. Aetna probably has many and varied insurance plans with different deductibles and allowances, participating and non-participating.Check your policy with Human Resources or your union shop steward before taking any further action. A former insurance company employee. No it's not normal. I'd switch to ehealthplus immediately for your future dental needs. http://e-healthplus.com no you are being ripped off get a new dentist it does not cost that much for a filling if you have insurance maybe 60 or70 dollors |
