My credit file has been marked two late payment from my bank, alliance & leicester for going overlimit? |
I just recieved an alert from Experian Credit Agency, indicating that my bank has marked my file for 2 late payment, just because I went over my overdraft limit. Has anybody experienced the same lately? If you go over your limit, you weren't using credit wisely. It will be noted on your credit report. You need to carefully monitor your balances in your checking account and credit cards to ensure you don't go over the limit, since it lowers your credit score and can cause pretty hefty fees. Why does that surprise you? That is what credit agencies do. The Card lets them know what has happened and they then tell other people to warn them! You'll probably find that two late payments won't significantly affect your ability to get credit. Remember that all lenders have different scoring and acceptance criteria. If you think the information on your credit file is inaccurate, you'll need to get your bank to change it. |
