About someone getting in trouble for driving without auto insurance,? |
1) Is it considered illegal with a heavy price because it wouldn't be fair to the ones who do pay for it it if it weren't illegal? 2) There is an automatical 6-month license suspension if I'm correct, how much is the ticket and how much does it cost for that person to try to get their license back 6 months later? 3) Does that type of penalty apply for everyone, or does it depend on if you're a guy or if you're a very nice-looking woman, or if you're famous like Donald Trump or Paris Hilton? Just wondering. I was once almost willing to take the risk, but I figured that if they asked for my license for whatever reason, that they'd find out and I'd get in big trouble and lose my license. It depends on the local laws. You may just pay a fine of $200 or so and you may get your car empounded and you end up in jail... it's all a matter of local laws... there is NO correct universal answer It's pretty scary that the only reason you'd want to have auto insurance is so you wouldn't get in trouble. The whole point of insurance is to be able to afford to fix any damages you may cause to another driver's car or person. If I wrecked someone's car I would certainly want the other person to be able to get their car fixed or replaced. And if someone was injured I wouldn't want them stuck with huge medical bills because of a mistake I made. Is that just me? Sounds like you have a completely different mindset. |
