What auto insurance company will start policy without downpayment up front?

No downpayment? Depends on what you mean. If you mean 'no big, bloated downpayment, but first monthly payment okay', contact someone like Nationwide Insurance or Allstate. In most states, they only require you to pay for your first month of insurance. Companies like Progressive & Geico generally always require a larger amount down. If you mean absolutely no money at all and they're insuring you without money exchanging hands?

I'm not sure what area you live in or what type of coverage you need, but Safe Auto advertises that you can get coverage with a post-dated check, even if you don't have the best credit.
