I asked my auto loan co. to repossess my car, they said they didnt want it back.What can I do? No title,no tag |
Will the car become mine after a certain amount of time? Is there an unclaimed property law in this situation? I am not able to renew my tags or inspection without documentation from my lender. They refuse to send me the proper documentation or to come and pick up the car. Can I claim lost title? Can I sell It? Please help. all you have to do is go to the dmv and get a new title, and you then can sell it. Did they say it writing they don't want it back? Does it say that as far as you are concerned your debt wit them is satisfied? You can hold the Title to a car you owe money on, you just can't sell it. In my state, NJ, a Title is a one shot deal good forever until a new owner comes along. Registartion, on the other hand , means that you wish to drive the car and be responsible for it on the road. Take it to them and get a receipt. They have to take it back. You may loose some money if they sell it. They should have the title but you can apply for a lost registeration. Is the car registered to you. IF NO why. Insurance??? Better get Legal. no you cant do nothing til you pay your note and get your lean holder off title but um if you dont make payments the will surely come get the car Is the car paid off? if not dont make payments . You will have to sue them for the title or wait twp yers to claim unclaimed properety well for one they dont have to give you a title if you falted on the loan it is in repo if they dont want it the only thing you can do is get a JUNK title to sell it for parts only. do not try to get a lost title it is registered at the dmv as being held in lue of money they will prosicute you for falsifying information. dont pay for it |
