Who knows who to talk to to prequalify for a auto loan,? You might be putting the horse before the cart. The lender will want to know all about the car you want to buy . Please see my 'best answer' to a similar question, a few days ago.. by clicking my avatar....The question was regarding faxing a 'purchase order' to a credit union for pre-approval Hope this helps. The loan officer at the bank you wish to receive the loan from. Set an appointment or just go in and see if he/she is available. Capital One has a blank check program. You fill out an application online...they make a decision and a few days later you get the check & you're walking into a dealers to get a new car. Read the fine print though....some of the terms you may not like (2000 or newer vehicle..not so bad... less than 30k miles may be a problem depending on where you are)....... Whoever you apply with will "pre-approve" you, but it doesn't mean you are approved. Thats just a way to get you in the door, trust me I work at a dealership. |
