Auto loans??

My husband is trying to finance for a car loan.. however, he doesnt have enough credit so he needs a co-signer. My credit is very bad. If i add my name to the loan application, would it give it a better chance of getting the loan since i do have more credit (even if its bad) or am i better off of the application? And if i do apply and get approved, would it ruin his credit b/c of my hsitory of bad credit?

I have only 4-5 negative reports that i have not paid for.. nothing major like a car though. I also have a few good standing accounts as of today.

It would not hurt him or you as long as it gets paid on time. It also should help getting the loan assuming that your debt to income ratio is in good order.

Its stupid to buy a car on time now,with the current administration sending jobs overseas.
