Truth about auto loans?

I would like to know all the tricks

I only know about one and that's after the car is chosen and the warranty guy is trying to figure out your monthly payment. Don't let them add $50 to $70 to your monthly payment for an extended warranty unless you can afford it. They will tell you it is necessary or required by the bank, but it's not. There's no law that says you have to buy an extended warranty. The car already has a warranty - you don't want to pay all that extra money. They will put extreme pressure on you, but don't give in unless it's something you want....
Hi Mont,

I posted a link for a few common scams below.

You should also be aware that dealerships profit from your financing as well as the lender.

If possible you can save some $$$ by financing thru a credit union or bank your self instead of thru the dealer.

Typically credit unions have the lowest finance rates. If you aren't a member of a credit union, you may be eligible and not know it. Check with your local CU and see if you qualify to become a member.

Browse around the web site below, you will find some newsletters and other information that may help you as well.
