If you loan someone a big amount of $. People used me for $. Will not pay back loan. Can I place lien on auto? |
These people used me only to get a large amount of money from me on a loan. I have a promise to pay in writing. Now that I loaned the cash they refuse to pay the cash back now. Does anyone know of a legal remedy such as a judgement on a person or putting a lien on the vehicle they own? Please advise need info asap. Thank you This has happned to me before. Since I did not own a business I could not do a lien. Instead I called the local authorities and they said it was theft. I did have the officer take a report, he did speak to the women and she still refused to pay. The officer did arrest her for theft. I had to pay a portion of the court costs, but in the end she went to jail for 2 years. Sad thing is I have never seen my money. But some people get scared in front of the judge and so they pay. Maybe in that regard you will have more luck then me. But I would start with the police, and since each law is different depending on the state you live in, you may have to do it different from how I did. Good Luck. As you have learned, it is practically impossible to get our family and friends to uphold their end of an obligation after the fact. A good policy to have is to not loan money you can't afford to lose. If you get it back, great. If not, you aren't strapped. Good luck with your situation. If you have some Prof that you have landed money them like when they took moany,did they singed any papers etc.Better take healp of polic and court,i am very hope full you will get your mony or part get back.Good lack and in futer be carefull. |
