Paypal, in order to add a bank account is it required to have a checkings account?


im trying to add my savings account and it requires a routing number, and savings do not have a routing number.

No you should be able to use the savings account just know that account number and the routing number of the bank. You stated in your question that savings accounts don't have a routing number and that's not true. A routing number is just a number that Identifies the financial institution you use. Go to your bank and ask them what the routing number is.
no i have an account with pay pal with a savings account there are two options when pay pal takes a small deposit out of your account like 20 cents then you look at your account see how much they took out and write that number down in pay pal or on your check book there are two numbers on the bottom one of them is your routing number the one on the left the longer one
The checking account is what Paypal wants, not a savings account. Sorry, but you will need to open a checking account.

when you open a savings you will have a routing number and your savings account number. If you have a checking account also with that savings account then the routing number is the same as your checking account routing number. You can also call the bank that your savings account it with and asked them for the routing number. PayPal does not take money out of your account they deposit money into your account then you take that amount and insert it where its being asked for on PayPal
