Is it possible to open up two bank accounts with the same bank under the same name? |
i want to open up two accounts to keep my money seperate and to know which one is for what....but i just want one bank. is that possible? thanks for any info! Sure it is! It's quite common to open several accounts for different purposes. Your bank shouldn't even bat an eye when you make the request! Good luck, and kudos for wanting to take a step to keep your finances organized! :) *EDIT* Yes, typically you'll end up with a separate bank card for each checking account. Absolutely. People do it all the time. yes it is i have 2 at 1 bank and 3 if you count savingings at a dif bank Yes it is. I have four accounts at the same bank. One checking account and three savings accounts. I have different saving accounts for my children's tuition and such. You most certainly can. At my bank, I have a chequing and savings account, and they are joined together by my name and other identifiable information the bank already has. I can even use my bank card to access money from either one. Check with your bank to make sure though. It may vary from state to state, but generally yes you can. As long as you keep the minimum balances you should be fine. At one point we had three checking accounts and a savings account at the same bank (2 were used for business purposes) Yes--I actually have 3--one for checking, one for savings, and a Christmas club account. I will recommend a credit union over a bank. They are much friendlier, and since you are a MEMBER rather than a customer, they try harder to make you happy. |
