Can I close my Wachovia saving account over the phone, or do I have to do it at the bank.?


I just want to close my saving account and move the 300 bucks in it to my checking account. I don't use the savings accout since I got a ING accout.

um I work for Wachovia and yes you can close it over the phone with a PSR (Phone Servicer Rep)..As for Spike we only charge $25 is the account is less than 6 months old. Source(s): My career :)
You can do it over the phone. Though I have never had an account with that bank, I closed two accounts with two other banks a few days ago over the phone. They sent me a check of my balance in the mail about a week later.
u have to go in person to close it out.
probably could over the computer but to make sure it goes smoothly I'd suggest doing it in person at the bank don't want to lose any money
You need to go in person and sign papers to do that. It's a security safety for all accountholders.
