Anyone got any ideas on how my son can transfer money into bank account, he lives in Spain , we are in GB.? |
Last time he did it took 2 days to reach the account and it was approximatley 拢18.00 short due to transfer fees. I transfer money from Spain to the UK all the time and it is not the Spanish banks that charge (well 鈧?), it is the UK banks, they hold all money transferred in a holding account so they earn interest, and the 18.00 short was probably due to the exchange rate that your bank in the UK gave you, they generally give you a really bad rate and that is life unfortunately, all banks have a nasty habit of ripping us off! You can then send one card to you son and he can withdraw at his local ATM immediately.. If you need to send more money, just top up the card for instant access in Spain. This can also be done in reverse, he can add funds to the card and you can use your card to withdraw in UK. .... Go ask your bank, it's easy, fast and relatively cheap. Can be issued in GBP or Euro. Amex, Bank info. Check the internet also for details from the American Express website. I would suggest a bank to bank wire transfer. If the fees are to much for you try a western union or a money gram, a money gram is usually the cheapest |
