World wide, what bank pays the most interest for a basic savings account ?


I know of one that pays 18% interest. Just wondered if you knew of one that pays more.

Today, any account in Zimbabwean dollars. In general, whatever currency is experiencing the highest inflation rate.

The 18% you quote, it certainly isn't in a G8 currency.
Whose that with? I have a Sainsbury's online savings account and they pay 6%.
I'll change if I can get 3 times more interest.
have you considered how much risk is factored into that 18%???

is the deposit insured by a government thats as consistant as the USA or one that may seize all private assets during a coup?

the bank is probably in foreign currency denomination...
will the currency depreciate by 20% against the dollar giving you a net return of negative 2%?

if the bank closes shop are you insured like in the states with FDIC??
