Is there any correlation between your bank routing number and your account number with your debit card number?

I want to order something off the internet but my debit card hasn't come in the mail yet and I have my checks so I was wondering if the numbers on the check (bank routing number and account number) were the same as on the check card.

No. You will have to wait for your debit card to arrive if the online merchant only accepts credit/debit cards. There are some merchants that will accept "online checks" and you would be able to make a purchase with them.

Alternatively you could sign up with PayPal and use that for online purchases. They allow for direct debits to your checking account instead of having to use a credit/debit card. However the merchant has to allow PayPal payments.

I guarantee you though that your routing number (which identifies your bank through the Federal Reserve System) has absolutely *nothing* in common with your debit card number. Source(s): 12+ years in banking / credit card / financial services
no
definitely not!
i checked my checks and debit card and my answer is correct.
Yes, the bank routing number, located on the bottom left of your checks, correlates to the account number on your Debit card. All the routing # does is identify where the bank is located and what account # it is connected to. So if you want to order online with a check, it will come out of your account just like it would if you used a debit card. Happy Shopping!
