How long do banks usually keep records of your account?

They do have to do just that because it is their job
Banks will usually keep somewhere in the range of 3-5 years easily accessible to bank employees. Although it does require some research if you need to look that far back. If you need records further back they usually will keep files on microfiche or computer records but to pull copies can be costly as it is a very manual process to pull and copy them for you
