UK Banks - Is there a UK bank or building society who offers a basic business account? |
Im hoping someone will be able to help. I know I cannot get a standard business account from any high st bank. But Ive heard that some may offer a basic business account, similar to the basic bank account. Is this true and any ideas which banks may do this? Am trying so hard to get my new retail business up and running but I cant become limited without a business bank account of some description, although Im not too bothered at this stage about going limited. Any help would be MUCH appreciated! xxx I got a basic business business account from Natwest no hassle. Just go to their website and fill in the form, I opted for no credit and they opened my account within a week. Hope this helps and good luck with your business. All high street banks offer a business account. You do not have to be a limited company. http://www.lloydstsb.com/ RBS offer a good one in that it does all the basics and gives interest. Be sure to negotiate no charges for a period - 6, 12, 18 months - just look up what the best competitor period is and they'll match it. Its wise to run a business bank account even for a small business even if you don't go limited. Trying to keep your personal finances in order whilst business cash is flowing in and out of your personal bank account is a nightmare. I don't know what you mean by 'standard' vs 'basic' so can't really help there. Two small businesses I've been running for a year or two WWW.SUREFIREFINANCE.CO.UK can get you a business bank account. most banks do try abbey |
