Is MBNA America Bank, N.A. legitimate? They contaxcted me about an account which I don't have.? |
They said my account ends with 5267 Yeah, they're legit. This happened to me once, too. It turns out that someone had opened a credit card in my name. You should check your credit report immediately, you may be a victim of identity theft. Sounds like you need to pull your credit report and check it (should do that every year anyway). I suggest "myfico.com". MBNA is a real bank (they were one of my credit grantors at one time). Seriously, check your credit. With all the identity theft now a days, you need to if you value your financial future. Good luck! Oh, and you may not realize that you have an account with MBNA because many department stores use MBNA as the bank they use to supply credit to their customers. Yes, they are legitimate. Your Identity may have been stolen. my own. Yes they are the have recently merged with bank of America and where the lagest credit card distributor in the US. Some people just want to know your address and your birth date. Don't answer to this questions by phone. MBNA is definitely legit...they have big office buildings here in Hunt Valley, MD. Yet ID theft is rampant so be wise as the serpent... |
