my friend, halim has a problem. By using internet banking, Halim check his bank account balance and discovered that 50 cents was deducted from his account every month. He called the bank helpline to clarify on the matter and the bank officer verified that the bank was not responsible on that deduction. Sometimes if your nice to them and don't get mad and are respectful to them, they will reverse the charges and put a block on any future charges from the same vendor/whatever. It could be possible fraud verifying the account. People will take out or deposit small amounts to make sure the account is active before they write a fraudulent check for large amounts whatever. He really shouldn't let it just sit there, but honestly, he needs to be nice and work with the bank because they're not going to do diddly for him if he's mean, yelling, using profane words and all that. Be firm with them but be nice. If he was satisfied he should go back to them and express his concerns. I don't know how the banking system works with you, but here in the UK all transactions are named either with a cheque number or the name of the recipient. Try calling up the standing orders and direct debits to find the account, then cancel it. |
