I sent $$ thru a bank to bank transfer but now I realized I wrote the wrong account. wat wil happn to my $$?? |
does anyone know how i can get back my money? Call up your bank and explain the situation. Then ask them if they can perform a research request on the transfer and to include the correct account number. It may take a few days for them to locate the transfer, contact the receiving bank, reverse the transfer and then reinitialize the transfer. When they explain this to you, please remember that this was an error on your part and they should not be blamed for the time it will take to fix your error. If it's the wrong account # and the money can't be deposited, then it should bounce back to your account. You could call your bank and talk to them (both of them if it's between two different banks) and see if they can help you out too. I would get with the bank that you sent the money from. Don't be too worried due to most of the time these things can be reversed. Or maybe the account number doesn't exist at all. But the best thing you can do is get with your bank where you first started the balance transfer ASAP. So that they can reverse what ever has happened quickly!!! Good Luck! Definitely go to your bank in person immediately and verify that the wrong account number was entered. They may need you to sign something or issue a statement about that. And hope and pray that there is no account number that matches the incorrect one at the other bank. I sure hope you get your money back. It may have already gone through and if someone wasn't honest.... well, we'll think positively at this point. |
