I was able to get a checking account with Wells Fargo when I was in that situation. If they won't give you one, ask them what you need to do to get one if that's what you want . lign="right" > Sign in to vote! Most have a "basic" account for such situations where you will just have the facility to pay in and draw out without any chance of going overdrawn. No cheques; no direct debits etc lign="right" > Sign in to vote! HSBC gave me a chance, when my application went through i was declined, but the manager said they would give me a go. I have found them a really good bank too. |
