How can I get money from my mothers bank account to my account without the IRS seeing? Good idea. Ask a question like this on a public forum. Are they knocking on your door yet? NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ask "how do I commit a crime" online. If they are doing an investigation, you just get in bigger trouble trying to do this on the sly. They already know all the tricks. Keep the amounts as small as possible, but definitely under 5K. Why are you taking from your mother's bank account? Can't you work and support yourself? And why would you want to deceive the IRS when the penalties (or jail time) could be so huge? Rethink this. The IRS isn't likely to care, unless you're talking huge amounts. If your mother is willing to give you a gift, then she can transfer money to your account. If the amount in any one year is over $12,000, she'll have to file a gift tax return, otherwise the IRS doesn't need to know about it. |
