Can I get a joint bank account?


to add someone to your savings bank account, what information you need of them if they can not be present at the time of getting the account?

Depending on the financial institution. Sometimes you can set the account up in your name only. Then you would need the other persons info; name, ss, dob, and a copy of a legit id. At which point the bank will then add that person to your already existing account. Good luck.

Sorry, but most banks require the other person to be present for an addition to an account. The both of you will need to be present and they will need a picture id and social security card.

The other person has to be there. They need a signature from the other person or else anyone can claim to be your account partner.
