What banks offer high interest rates with respect to savings account? |
What banks offer high interest rates with respect to savings account? There are a multitude of financial institutions that will offer a fairly competitive rate of return on MM/SAV accounts...you'll just have to do the research. I will say, however that right now online banking accounts are proving to be the most competitive. Traditional online banks (like etrade) are not limited by location so you'll find the will not be as competitive than regional banks that are aggressively marketing online promotions them to grow their account base outside their normal limited geographical parameters. (like chase, B of A etc..)With that said, I recommend looking "locally"- online. I don't anticipate it will remain this way, it's a relatively new and "trendy" investment strategy- but with the liquidity of online banking you can afford to move the funds to the next best thing once the rate becomes less than attractive. Good luck rate shopping. Source(s): me- banker E-Trade savings 5.05% with no minimums or fees. But don't put your money in a savings account you'll earn just enough interest to stave inflation , put it in a index fund and forget about it for 10 years. Vanguard has some great ones, VBINX ... try emigrantdirect.com there is no minimum balance or fees and 5.05% apy rate chase is the best |
