Bank of Scotland Currency Account Exchange Rate?


According to my btyahoo converter I see rate as 1.984 but bank of scotland rate is 2.03. How can this be and is there anything I can do about it?

Well, I've just used www.xe.com and http://www.bankofscotlandhalifax.co.uk/h... and both have different rates of exchange.

I'm guessing that you're converting UK pounds into US dollars for this too.

The simple thing is, the exchange rate will always fluctuate gradually over the course of a day. Some banks also offer a lower or even higher rate due to commission charges etc when converting currency.

Personally, I'd go for the highest rate I found! 2.03 sounds pretty good to me! Source(s): http://www.xe.com/
