Do I need to have money kept in a bank account if I go to Australia for a gap year? |
I am going out to work for a year but don't know if I need to have money "on hold". I will have a return ticket back to Britain. To qualify for a student work visa,my daughter had to have 拢2000 cash with her(banked) and her return ticket and that was 19 years ago! Do'nt know if the amount has changed since then but phone australia house and they will tell you. U still need to have money in a bank account. Good luck i think so Yes. You can leave it with me and it will be here when you get back. Honest. most bank accounts will stay open with just 拢1 in so that should be ok for a year. i hope this helped if you need any further help in the future feel free to email me anytime and i will try and get back to you as soon as possible not unless you want to keep it in your pocket for a year!!!!! yes to gain a visa you must produce a bak staement stating whats in itLoads of Irish people borrow it for a day get the statement and give the cash back. I would seriously advise her to have at lest 1000 back up anyway you never know what things you need costs for such as stolen passport or emergency flights or medical treatment perhaps little things like that that could turn into big problems if she had'nt enough cash. |
