Went to pay my next account at the bank today & they want to charge me 拢10 to pay it, am i alone?

in thinking this is taking the piss.....charging us to pay our bills!
the interest rate could go up on there money....whats your views on this?
i think they should be grateful there bills getting paid mate, cheek

Hi, I get this nearly every time I want to pay a bill at my bank HSBC. If you bank with them you can pay bills to other people without charge but if you bank with another bank they ask you to pay 拢5. I have banked at my branch for 46 years and they still ask me every time I go in if I bank there or else I have to pay 拢5. It would be nice if they would try to know their customers. It really annoys me as they do not check if I actually do bank there so why ask the stupid question in the first place? I often pay bills for my sister in her bank Lloyds and they don't ask me this very annoying question.

Well you obviously have access to the internet so why dont you just pay it online.

Why should your bank do it for free, they're not gaining anything from it are they?
i have an account with hsbc in Euro and have around 10,000 in there and they charge me about 25 eur a month instead of paying me interest. whats more i send $125 to a friend and they charge me 拢65 ($130) for making the payment. these banks are getting rediculous we should all start suing them.
I had this problem when I tried to pay my credit card bill. Went to every bank apart from Lloyds, and when I went there I said that I had been paying it here for months and had never been charged (which was not true) and hey presto I didn't pay a penny. It is at the discretion of the bank and no they don't have to charge you but they just like to keep ripping people off.
pay on line or at the shop. can you make a payment over the phone, using your card, 拢10 is a rediculise amount to pay for this, that is a tidy sum at the end of it for the bank, find another way, dont give them your money,
on the statement i belive it states that some banks may charge. Pay online!
If you do not have an account with them then they can charge you to pay a bill, but if you do have an account then it should be free, and as for weddiebeck I would change my bank.
