Do you still write checks or use your check/bank card only?

when im broke, i write checks a day before payday so it doesnt go thru till the next day and i wont get overdrawn fees
but i use my card every other time

i HATE check they are super slow. i have a visa pay pass
neither. i make online payments or just cash
I try to write a few checks every month. In the future when I try to get a mortgage from my bank, it will be good if I have a good history of writing checks with them that don't bounce.
Mostly, I use my debit card. In the last year I have only written one check and that was to the DMV to renew my CDL. Debit cards are a lot easier to deal with.
