I'm trying to open a Bank account under my husbands name to deposit his government check but he's not here? |
My husband's in Mexico for an emergency and he need's money, Is there a bank were I could open a online bank account so I could deposit his checks? Opening an account in someone else's name is fraud, unless you have a power of attorney for them. If you need to send him money, wire it to him via Western Union. Or you could send him a link to an online bank, ask him to set it up and give you the account details and then you can deposit into his account. *** Someone below recommended ingdirect.com. No, you cant open an account for him. You could mail him the check and have him sign it over to you, and mail it back....but this doesn't always work. If he's near a large city, you might be able to mail him the check and have him cash it-- not sure if some banks honor out of country checks? lign="right" > Sign in to vote! I have been banking here for some time. It takes a few days to get the initial account open and ready to go but it's a good bank. |
