How would I sign a check that I wanted to have deposited in my fathers bank account?

How would I sign a check that I wanted to have deposited in my fathers bank account?

You can deposit money/or checks in anyones bank account as long as you have the account number -you dont have access to take any out. - As for a check if its written to cash either of you can sign -if its written to you -only you should sign it - If its written to him only he can sign it - your signature should not be on it- but if it is written to you both then you will need both signatures to deposit it as for cash -well that should be a no-brainer Source(s): I've done this several times for my parents and relatives
Sign your name, then have him sign his name, then let him deposit it.
are you making the check? issue the check in your father's name, make it a cross check with your father's account number and deposit yourself; or if the check was issued in your name, endorse the check and deposite in your father's account. you must know the account number and bank

If it's a check written to you, then you will need to sign it, then underneath your signature write "Pay to the order of (your father's name)" and then the account number you want to deposit it into. Or you father can write the account number on it.
Something I learned from my bank many, many years ago.
