Does anybody know of any banks in Louisiana that let minors open checking accounts? |
Hello, I am looking for a bank in Louisiana that will allow a minor to open a checking account, even if an adult has to co-sign or whatever. I have checked Capital-One and they will not allow it. I don't know about Louisiana specifically, but I know for sure that Wells Fargo Bank allows minors to open checking accounts (for free if you are already a member). I'm pretty sure that an adult has to co-sign. the 1st or 2nd breached bank of new Orleans sorry How many checks are you planning to write? Not that it makes a difference I would think with an adult co-signing that you should not have a problem. The reason I asked about how many checks is because with a savings account you can get more interest and then just get money orders instead of checks. A money order at a convenience store or gas station is only like 75 cents. If you write alot of them, then a free checking with no interest is the way to go but if you don't write money, get interest from a savings account and do the money order thing!!! |
