Which finance center, finance institutions, or banks do you recommend to get a checking account?


I want to be to have access to ATM machines as well so that I don't have to pay $1.50 every time.
I need the name and telephone numbers of any finance institutions please.

Avoid the big banks. Look at local banks and coops. I find they have the best deals.
Not knowing where you are from, it's hard to say. I would recommend a smaller bank because they are much easier to deal with and have fewer fees. Just make sure they have an ATM that is on your regularly-traveled routes.
In the town or city where you live let your fingers do the walking or go to google. A word of advice however, open an account with a bank that has branches in other communities in your state or region so if you travel you will have some financial contact. Stand alone banks are generally not known 50 miles from home.
