Bank of America customers - do they charge a fee if your balance in your checking acct hits -$2.00 ?? |
Bank of America customers - do they charge a fee if your balance in your checking acct hits -$2.00 ?? Well, it depends on the type of account you have. You may want to find out if you qualify for "My Access free checking", and back that up with overdraft protection, although they do charge you something like 3.00 per transaction if you have to use the overdraft protection. Personally, I would find a different bank. Why? I had an account there once, and I paid for EVERYTHING, although I had the "best" account types possible there. They charge you for having money transferred into you account from another bank, on new accounts-they hold your checks for 5-7 business days before releasing funds- for 120 days and/or as they wish, etc.,etc. I would go to a branch location, and talk to the person you opened the account with, or to the Manager. They have ALOT of hidden fees. Be careful, and good luck. Of course. Unless you have overdraft protection. This fee they're going to charge you also increases the more you overdraft. Every account is diffrent. Look at there disclosures and see what kind of account you have. visit the site below. www.bankofamerica.com sorry i don't know. all accounts are different, you'll need to find out what kind of account you have and what kind of fees can be applied to your account. usually anything in a negative balance will hit you with an overdraft charge. if you are overdrawn by less than $3.00 they can reverse the overdraft fee.... usually. they charge me a monthly fee if my account goes under $300 for savings and $500 for checking so once they give me the $200 bonus for opening those accounts I'm gonna close them and put that money back in my Chase account cause they don't have stupid fees like that...I miss Commerce Bank back east, I never had any fees ever...ever...ever ATM nothing ever! Chase is about as close as I could find to minimal fees |
