Can I claim a check that is made to my name if I dont have a bank account and I am under age?? My son is 10 and his grandma always sends him a check for his birthday. I just take him to the bank and they cash it. He uses his school id and they make him give a thumb print. from which country you are from? if in india... then claim the check in your parents name to be on the safer side as here there is lots of problem of non payment of cheque and there after the problem of court cases starts... So if the same case is on your country then you too prefer to take it in your parent's name.... (father or mother or gaurdian) Yeah you can, even some checking cashing bussiness will allow you to cash it with your school ID and finger print but the bank is the safest bet. Why dont you just get someone to help you open a checking account, alot of them are free and do not require a minimum balance. |
