Cashing a check: Go inside the bank or use the drive thru banking? |
What method do you prefer, going inside or using the drive thru to cash a check at the bank? I ususally go inside. I'm a people person and drive thrus are so impersonal. Plus they can be very frustrating and cumbersome at times. I used a drive thru one time when I was really in a hurry. For some reason I took that lovely little plastic tube with me when I drove off. Of course I realized it about 10 ft later, but it was embarrassing. I had to stop, get out of the car and run it back to the person that was setting completely confused. You could tell he was trying to figure out, "now what button do I push to start this thing." lol Go inside it's much easier I PREFER DRIVE THROUGH. SOME BANKS, UNLESS YOU ARE A CUSTOMER WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO USE THE DRIVE THROUGH. A PLACE I ONCE WORKED HAD AN ACCOUNT BUT IF I DIDN'T BANK THERE I HAD TO GO IN AND GIVE MY THUMB PRINT! YOU'D OF THOUGHT I'D I COMMITED A CRIME! if you have an account there use either, drive throughs make it easier for you, and they are usually quick. They are good for depositing, withdrawls and cashing checks. anything else go in side~ Go inside and save some gas. If I need to get done in a hurry the drive thru is quicker. I think it depends on the type of check and the size. Most banks don't like to deal with more than a couple hundred dollars through the drive thru. Also third party checks that are not payroll checks should be cashed in person for security purposes. |
