How can I cash out a check without having to open a bank account?

The bank that offered my check was not available in my city, so i was wondering on how to cash it out since its expire date is coming? Also, i don't have a bank account and i don't want to open one because i don't want to deal with those paperworks.
P.S. am just a high school student :)

first of all do you have a valid California ID? because you will need it if you want to cash it.
anyways I would sign it over to a family member that has your same last name. have them deposit it to their bank account {through the ATM machine} and get your money that same day just do a deposite and a withdraw at the same time Source(s): The banks call that 3 party checks and they won't cash it for you that's why you don't go inside. You deposite it through the ATM machine they don't ask . I've done it with my husbands pay check and it's all good...... good luck
take it to a cash advanced place
The only way I know that you can do this is to pay a fee at a check cashing place. A better option would be to endorse the check to your parents who probably have a bank account and have them give you cash, since there would be no fee to do that.
fiend a check cashing place that will except your I.D.
More than likely, your local grocery store will have a customer service dept. that performs various services such as: being able to pay electric/water bills, buy tickets, and cashing your check. They will usually charge you a minimal fee (1% of the amount being cashed). Hope this helps.
