| *Loan,banking and credit>>>bank checks |
I recently moved, so the address at the top of my bank checks is not current? Are they still useable? |
I the checks that I had issued from my bank have my old address. The bank knows that I live in my new address. Do I need to order new checks or can I still use the old ones. You can use the old checks just cross out your old address and write in your new one. yes they are. I just put an address label over my old address and used mine and everything was fine. Fine, as long as the account and branch are correct. I think you can still use the old ones until you get around to ordering your new checks. I wouldn't procrastinate about ordering the new ones. I would not recommend using them. Order new checks ASAP. Get address stickers with your new address and put them on the checks if you really want to use the old checks. They're cheap enough it might be easier to just get new ones unless you have 1000 of them! Put if you do be sure and shred the old ones. you can cross out the old one, write in the new and initial it. it's perfectly legal, but some places might not take it, they require it printed if so, shop somewhere else |
