How did you spend your bank holidays when you where younger?

I played and played all day long,from morning to night.Mam and Dad never had much moneyand did not drive so a trip out was not possible so my mates and i would get fishing nets for tuppence and go to the river to catch tiddlers and catfish and tadpoles.Then we would pick bull rushes for the vase.We used our imagination to play fantasy games of witches and dragons.Then we would lift up the drains and play with the newts that lived there.I would wonder for miles without a care in the world,swinging from trees and bridges that we passed.Only hunger and a dimming of the day would send us scuttling back home with our wares of the day.My own children have no idea what fun i had and how lucky i was to be able to these simple things in safety.

Playin n64 or outside playing football etc
Travelling down to Margate to beat up the mods.

Those were the days!!
Fishing off of Whiteheaven pier using a safety pin as a hook and a piece of string for a fishing line. All to the disgust of the avid fishermen.

unless it was a long weekend.
When i was younger we cleaned the house or did other chores, always had to clean , clean, clean, boring and now i am still doing the same. All day longgggg.:)))
Absoult bordome being in a strange place where i never wanted to be and with parents who turned into f******* aliens !!
