What kinda reason do I give the bank when I am taking out a loan? |
I am getting married and i want to take out a loan however I do not want to say I am getting married maybe the intrest rate may be high and should I say that I am buying furniture or something? The bank cannot make the interest rate higher because you are using it to get married, than if you were using it to get a kidney transplant. It would be unethical. You just tell them you want an unsecured loan for presonal use...if you qualify they will give you the loan if you don't they won't...it is very simple (and you don't even need to tell them what you want to use it for if you don't want, usually the only reason they ask is so they know if they have you in the best product for what you are using it for...ie why get an unsecured loan if you are really going to buy a car) If they don't help you out you could always try Prosper: http://www.prosper.com/join/lloe... They would be able to help you and let you know how to help with your listing and try to get it to get more bids. The interest rate should have nothing to do with why you are borrowing, but on how good your credit is, the collateral taken, and how long you've had the relationship with your bank.
