I work,i have a mortgage, i have a car bought on hire purchase,Bank loan,so why wouldnt Currys give me credit? |
hello, i went to Currys electric store to buy some goods on credit (TV, fridge), did the hp check & it refused me credit. does currys have their own credit rating? i have never been refused credit, till now that is. ps, i havent tried anywhere else for credit since. The computer says "No". No offence, but I think you would be considered high risk. Having a mortgage and a hire car in their eyes will be draining your income and might think you will struggle to keep up payments. it might be that you have too much credit out. you owe money on a house and a car, maybe they think you are over-extended. OR maybe there is something showing up on your credit report that you don't know about. If you are certain that you have good credit but they denied you, it should be a red flag. This would be a good time to get a copy of your credit report and double check that there is nothing weird going on. Likely the ratio of your current debt to income is too high for their requirements. You could ask them. You may not receive an answer. From what I am reading you have a lot of credit out there so you owe a lot of money, maybe more than you take in the home in a year or close to it. Many places will not give out further credit if you already have a lot of credit in case you lose your job, get sick, hurt, die, etc. Learned knowledge from growing up. You may just have too much credit out there right now or they may have entered the wrong SSN. If you are that concerned, I would get copies of my credit from all 3 reporting companies. You are entitled to one free report from each company once a year. I certainly hope nobody has been using your identity. That's why it's important to check your credit reports beyond just looking for mistakes. |
