Should corrupt western banks stop giving doggy loans to corrupt African leaders? |
Western banks practically owns most African countries, what the hell is going on? Definitely yes. The only problem is that these Banks are motivated by other interests than charity, i.e. bribing. One instance. In Spain we have recently have the visit of one of the most corrupt, cruel and wealthiest African dictator., Teodoro Obiang Nguema. Equatorial Guinea is since 1996 the third-largest oil producer in Sub-Saharan Africa. Its oil production has risen to 360,000 barrels/day, up from 220,000 only two years earlier. The Spanish government is interested in keeping excelent relations with its former colony because of the oil. Despite a per capita GDP (PPP) of more than US$30,000 [9] (CIA Factbook $50,200[10]) which is as of 2006 the second highest in the world, after Luxembourg, Equatorial Guinea ranks 174th out of 177 countries on the United NationsPoorest Countries in the World. Consequently, the Spanish Government has deemed it convenient to give a large amount of money to this dictator (supposedly to help his subdits). But his son is spending tens of millions of dollars in Europe buying palaces and castles. And not too long ago he lost 1.500.000 dollars at the Casino of Montecarlo. How about that? Curious98 Let them all suffer Africa is one of the richest countries based on their resources but no one has ever taking advantage of it, that's probably why they are buying it. Poor doggies! I shudder to think what happens to them at the hands of those corrupt africans. |
