First off, most lenders are very uncomfortable lending money to people who don't have a bank account. Why don't you have one? This is not 1823, this is 2006! Everyone should have a bank account, it just makes sense. There are plenty of free ones out there. Not having a bank account just makes you look like an idiot to lenders and will make them reluctant to lend you money. They want to see that you are responsible enough to open a bank account and run it in accordance with the terms of the bank. Having a bank account also shows them some stability. Finally, you cannot have a check faxed to you any more than you can have money faxed to you. A check is only valid in the original form as produced by the bank. u can't get a loan without a bank account so something sounds fishy here You can't use a fax of a check for anything - so like the first guy said, what's going on here? Checks are demand deposit documents - thus, they can mail it to you, but a facsimile copy is not valid. If you do not have a bank account, you will need to cash the cheque at the bank that the loan is drawn on, or pay some ridiculously high fee (as much as 50% of the check) at your local store / cash-a-check place (don't do this, even if you don't trust banks). Smells like a scam to me, too. If you are able to get a loan you must have some money. Most banks will open an account with very little money. So if this is not a scam, just go an open an account. Yeah sure. Just Fax me the cheque and i'll give you all my bank details so you can take out the money whenever you want - is that ok with you?? Also, the front door key to my house is underneath the plantpot on the right of the door. Mt girlfriend will be in bed, but hey, go and have a good time.
