Can i apply for a loan in my maiden name although my bank details are under my marriage name? shouldn't really be a problem. I have various accounts that are either under my maiden name or my married name. It all goes by your social security number I believe. I just never gotten around to going to the ss office to change my name. My credit report shows all of the different names my accounts are under as well. AND FYI - Once you're married you don't have to take your spouses name, it's up to the woman to decide if she wants to take that name.Unless you become divorced, your legal name is what is on the marriage certificate, that is, your married name. No...you have one legal name, that being your married name. Using anything other than that is fraud and is a felony. Sounds to me like you are trying to sneak one over on someone. You still have to give your social security number and your personal information will be out in the open, including your married name All this legal name rubbish I'm reading here! In the UK changing your name when you marry isn't law, it's tradition. You can use any name you like for any situation, as long as you are not trying to defraud a person or organization. As long as you can prove you're the person you say you are, no problem. If you want to use a different name for a loan application because you have bad credit or similar, then this is fraud. Your legal name is the name that is on your Social Security card. All your financial information is required by law to be in the name that is on your SS card. |
