What do you think of Bank of America giving credit cards & loans to illegal immigrants w/out a social security |
Hi, what do you think of Bank of America giving illegal immigrants credit cards, loans, and checking accounts without a social security card? It makes me sick! Will you join me and take a stand? I am asking anyone having a checking account, charge card with Bank of America to change banks asap! Our service men and woman are dieing in a war to stop terrorism and make our country safe. I think this will contribute to terrorism and is a huge slap to our troops and America as a whole. Please call your senators as I am doing. Also spread the word. It is very understandable that it many of us feel that the move by Bank of America is uncalled for, but legally, it isn't required by any bank to ask for a social security number. The social security infrastructure is way over used for what it's original proposal was designed for anyway. The purpose of asking for the social security number is to verify an individual's identity. This can be done through the following documents instead of a social security number: Form I-551 (includes machine-readable immigrant visa with your unexpired foreign passport); I-94 with your unexpired foreign passport; or Work permit card from DHS (I-766 or I-688B). I know of Chase, 53rd Bank, and practically every bank in the Chicago land area has been doing it for years. Not 1 terrorist has been found using those services illegaly. I totally hate illigal imagrants, but if you live in america you can get your American Credit card and go to any other country in world that accepts your type of card. You do not have to be a citizen of france to use a card in france. Also as much as I hate them taking over this country, just like everything else I think the media had blown this way out of porportion. Illiegals still must give an id #, mmn, address, age just like any other citizen. And they have just as much credit history as every other 18 year old applying for a card for the first time. I hate hearing spanish everywhere I go. I hate them taking our jobs, just like i hate our jobs going out of this country. But this one I dont see an infraction against America. I'm with you all the way. I have emailed them a couple times to tell them what bull cr@p this is. I have also started an account at AmSouth, which in my application ask if I was a legal US citizen. I will be pulling all my $$ out within the next couple days. It kind of takes a while when you have 3 or 4 accounts with transaction out floating around. They made a stupid move. |
