Consumer lending decisions are driven by 2 things: Credit Score (aka FICO score) Ratios (Debt to Income ratio, Loan to Value ratio) So, if you have a high credit score and your ratio's are within acceptable limits, you will likely qualify for your loan even if you do not have bank account or credit card. Now, the Catch... How does one get a high credit score? By having a credit card! (and using it wisely...) So to answer your question, a credit card is not required to get a loan, but having one makes it more likely that you will be approved. GO TO YOUR EPLOYER IF YOU ARE WORKING.. i've never tried them but try a cheque cashing place (EX) mnoney mart or what ever you have near you but they charge out ragous interst i heard though. If you are tryng to establish credit, many banks will loan you $$ but at the same time they will put a hold on that $$$ until you are done paying for it. The interest it;s very low and the money it's put on a certificat on your name earning interest as well. all that payment activity is reported to the credit bureal personal banker myself Only mafia does it. |
