Im looking for a small loan to refurbish my longboat. Should I take my axe with me to the bank ?

Definitely. Also the cute hat with the horns on it.

Try a branch with a female bank manager - you'll be well in.
Only if you want to be arrested. An axe is considered a weapon and I'm sure if you show up at a bank with one, someone will call the cops.
why would you take an axe, when a gun is so much easier and less cumbersome to carry. i hear it is also a little more intimidating for those that carry the keys.
Yes why not. At least it proves that you will be using the money for the purpose you are claiming.. (i presume that you will be chopping wood with the afore mentioned axe for the refurb of your long boat..??)
no, but try prosper.com
i wouldn't as they may have a smaller axe and then you wouldn't get the loan as they would be offended.

you could always leave it at the door as a sign of respect and they may give you more money!!

lol

No, UK banks insist that you sign the agreement with a pen and black ink.
