Will i qualify for a home loan with good credit even if i have a few overdraft fees on my bank statement? |
i was recently preapproved for a home loan of 500,000 with a credit score over 670. after searching for a home, my offer was accepted, so with a check for $4000.00 we started the escrow. the financial advisor asked for my bank statements from the two previous months and one the months shows 3 to 4 overdrawn amounts which were paid in full immediately. should i be worried that i may be turned down for the loan? my income exceeds 100,000/yr. First off how in God's name did you have an overdraft fee when you make that much money? We make a little more than a 1/4 of that.....We are military....Anyway - After a calculating error( my hubby didn't tell me he made a debit card purchase) we had a overdraft of $14 and I contacted my bank because we had never had one before... I asked what it would do to my credit since we were looking to buy a home in the next 6 months and they told me that it would be no problem since we had a savings account that the money was drawn from immediately. You won't be turned down, they are looking for balances, like how much you have, and to verify that you have a bank. They care more about your credit score more than anything!!! No that should not effect you, but with making that much money you shouldn't be overdrawning you account. Think before you do.... You shouldn't even be sweatin it! |
