If i move to Canada will Canadian financial companies (banks,credit unions etc.) recognise my US credit score?

No, you have to built it up in Canada. The stringent rules makes it all the more difficult to get even a credit card upon landing. You can very well open an account and get a secured credit card straight away by blocking CAD 500/- or so. This is the best way to start with.
