Are there any U.S. banks in the state of Hangzhou, China (specifically Zhejiang)?


As a foreign student going to study there, i have these concerns

China does not have states, they are provinces. Hangzhou is a city, the main city of the province of Zhe Jiang. I'm sure you will be able to find a Bank of America or possibly a Citi Bank. Go online and search.

If you don't find one you will be able to use ATMs from Bank of China, and most other major banks, to get cash with. I've been doing it for ages. The only problem is you pay a service fee to your bank and you can only take out 2000 - 2400 RMB per 24 hr period. Source(s): Use Chinese ATMs almost daily.

you can use your American ATM card at the bank of China, they usually let you take up to 4,000 rmb out each withdrawl, just make sure you tell your bank and credit cards that you will be in China using your cards, they may see it being used and think it was stolen an d shut it down, happened to me
